Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Susan Burcham

Veterinarian/Medical Director

Dr. Susan Burcham is a proud graduate of Michigan State University. She comes to Moore Veterinary Hospital with 20 years of veterinary experience in small animal general practice and critical care. In the past 10 years, she has been teaching in a local veterinary technology program, which included medical and surgical treatment of dogs and cats from the Macomb Animal shelter. Dr. Burcham enjoys volunteering, reading, baking, and walking her dogs, Mabel, and Dewi. Dr. Burcham is a native Michigander and lives in SE Michigan with her husband and youngest daughter. She is excited to meet you and your pet!

Dr. Cynthia Henry

Veterinarian
Dr. Henry is a veterinarian with Moore Veterinary Hospital. With nearly 30 years of veterinary experience, she has helped countless animals live long and healthy lives, by providing high quality patient care and client education. Dr. Henry is incredibly skilled at dental radiography and surgical extraction techniques. When she’s not at work, she loves spending time in her garden, working on crafts, and traveling to beautiful areas.

Dr. Shivani Gupta

Veterinarian
My journey began in 1997 when I started Veterinary school in India. I moved to the United States in 2003 to complete my Masters and Ph.D. in food safety. Shortly thereafter I completed my clinical training in Canada. I love every aspect of Veterinary Medicine. I am very excited to join the Moore Veterinary Hospital team, as well as you and your fur babies! I believe in continually improving my knowledge to better serve my patients and clients. I love traveling to visit my family back home and spending days off cooking and practicing yoga!

Dr. Stephanie Deuweke

Veterinarian

Graduated from MSU in 2012. She grew up in Algonac, Michigan and has practiced in clinics throughout the area. Dr. Dueweke enjoys spending time with her kitty and gardening. Welcome Dr. Dueweke!

Meet Our Staff

Ann

Receptionist

Ann has been with us since the fall of 2006; if you’ve called to make an appointment or ask a follow up question, you’ve probably spoken to her. She graduated from Oakland University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Animals have always been a significant part of Ann’s life. When she’s not at work, Ann enjoys spending time with her husband, watching their toddler grow, and relaxing with their three dogs.

 Brenda, LVT

Practice Manager
Brenda is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and our Practice Manager. She started her career in the veterinary field with us, and has grown with the practice. Brenda has always been surrounded by animals, they’re what makes her happy! When she’s not at work, she loves spending time with her family, working in her garden, and enjoying some much deserved vacation time.

Licensed Veterinary Technician
A Licensed Veterinary Technician with us since 2019, co-founder of a local organization called “4 paws 1 heart”, hobbies include camping, crafts, and spending time with my fur – babies. Passionate about continuing education in this field and helping all animals

 Heather, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician
Heather started her career in veterinary medicine with Moore Veterinary Hospital in 2012. She has always loved animals and uses that passion to provide care and comfort to the pets that she cares for, but also to their human companions. When Heather isn’t at work, she loves “the three Fs” – faith, family, and (Packers) football.

 Julie, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician
Julie has been with Moore Veterinary Hospital since 2007. She loves our clients and helping them care for their furry family members. Julie is an invaluable surgical assistant here. When she’s not at work, she loves spending time with her family and friends, and of course, she loves being around all of her animals.

Trisha, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Trisha has been in Veterinary Medicine since 2011. Her favorite part is nursing care and collecting information to aid our doctors in diagnosing and treating our patients! She is also a self proclaimed NERD! Loves camping, playing games, Star Wars, Hello Kitty and cows!

 Kimberly

Receptionist
Kim has been at Moore Vet since spring 2010, and has been in the field as a vet tech since 1998, and has done so until recently where she has been working as a receptionist. She has always loved animals for as long as she can remember. She enjoys pet sitting and has been fostering for years with different rescue groups.

 Michael

Assistant
Michael has been a wonderful part of the Moore Vet family since 2006. He is an excellent resource for our clients, providing plenty of information to help them better care for their pets. When Michael isn’t at MVH, he’s a secondary Spanish teacher, and also loves to try new foods, travel, and experience other cultures – but most of all, he enjoys time with his wide array of pets.

 Shelby

Licensed Veterinary Technician
Shelby started her career in the veterinary field here at Moore Veterinary Hospital in 2015. During her time here, she has learned so much and is continuing her education in veterinary medicine. Shelby is passionate about caring for animals and their families. When she’s not at work, she loves traveling, spending time doing crafts, and hanging out with her adorable dog, Vinnie.

Tracey

Assistant
Tracey started out with us as our morning kennel attendants in 2019 and quickly found joy in assisting with our patients. She continues to work hard and has become our full time assistant! She has a huge heart and a love for the pets that need extra patience and attention. Her friendly and positive personality make our patients feel right at home. She enjoys spending time out with her husband and spoiling all her fur babies at home.

Laura

Assistant

Laura is our fabulous assistant that was hired Dec of 2021. She loves each patient as if they were her own! When she isn’t busy at Moore she is cuddling her beautiful Rottweiler babies.

Kelly, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician
Kelly keeps busy at home with her 3 kids and 2 pups when she’s not working at Moore Vet. Although she only been with us since 2020, Kelly graduated tech school in 2015! Kelly enjoys educating clients on the importance of preventative care.

Kelsey

Client service representative

Kelsey has been working as a Client service representative since 2015. She has been trained as an assistant and helped open a clinic in Belleville, MI in 2017. Since then she has landed in Warren, and worked in an animal emergency hospital for a couple of years. Her hopes are to be able to slow down a bit with general practice again, and finish her pursuit of her Veterinary Technician License as well as complete a certification in Wildlife conservation. Kelsey has four dogs of her own, and Foster’s periodically. In her spare time she is usually out with friends at local shows, events or concerts, or tending to her gardens.
