Boarding

It is with pleasure that we are able to offer boarding facilities for your pets. Boarding is not our primary activity. We board animals as a service for our clients. Thus, there are requirements set up for your protection as well as ours. In order that you may enjoy this service and better understand how it operates we have the following boarding policy.

The boarding facility offered here at Moore Veterinary Hospital is a totally indoor facility. It is centrally air conditioned and heated on a seperate ventilation system from the clinic area. Cages and runs are available and your pet will be placed in the size cage recommended by the Veterinarian. Boarding is different from hospitalization in that is is provided for healthy animals not needing intensive care or treatment. Of course, should your animal require any medical treatment or preventive treatment while at the clinic you can rest assured it will receive it. Should your pet become ill during his stay, medical attention will be provided. Reasonable fees will be charged.

All animals entering the clinic must be up to date on vaccinations. If not, they will be administered before admittance. All animals entering the clinic must be free of external parasites (Fleas, Ticks, etc.) and internal parasites (negative fecal test within the past year) or they will be treated on entry at owners expense.

It is our desire to send home pets as clean as possible, however, dogs who soil themselves or otherwise become dirty while boarding will be bathed if necessary and appropriate charges will be made.

Reservations in advance are necessary.

Pets are released and admitted only during regular office hours. It is always best to call the clinic prior to coming to pick up your animal so that we have it ready for you and you are not delayed by having to wait.

Payment in full is required when animals are released unless other arrangements are made.

A Boarding Admission Form must be completed and signed by you upon entry of your pet.
